  • 1 pound cod fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil divided
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • purple cabbage slaw with apple
  • warm corn tortillas or flour tortillas

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the seasoning ingredients until well combined.
  • Pat the fish dry on both sides with a paper towel then add them to a large bowl. Mix with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and lime juice, then generously rub the blackened seasoning over all sides of the fish fillets.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat with the other tablespoon of oil.
