Hibiscus simple syrup is a sugar syrup with tart and floral notes. Add it to your favorite drinks: mocktails, cocktails, and desserts or baked goods. This tea-infused syrup is easy to make and only requires two simple ingredients.
Heat the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Constantly stir until the sugar dissolves, then add the tea bags or loose leaf tea.
Reduce to medium low heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the tea bags (or strain the loose tea).
Let the syrup cool to room temperature before storing it in the fridge for at least an hour before using.
