No rice vinegar? - use white wine vinegar, champagne vinegar, or apple cider vinegar. You can also use lime juice or lemon juice in a pinch.No honey? - you can also use maple syrup but it'll change the flavor of the dressing. Maple syrup isn't as emollient as honey, so you may need to add a squeeze of Dijon mustard to help the dressing emulsify.No fresh ginger? - you can also use ginger paste from a tube or jar but don't use ground ginger.No white pepper? - black pepper is fine.
Add-ins - a tablespoon of reduced sodium soy sauce or tamari or a splash of toasted sesame oil for a slightly different flavor profile.
