Sparkling Cranberry Mocktail With Ginger & Orange

5 from 1 vote
Cranberry juice mocktails with orange slices, ginger syrup, and rosemary sprigs.
This sparkling cranberry ginger mocktail is the perfect non-alcoholic beverage to enjoy during the holiday season. It has tart cranberry juice, homemade ginger simple syrup, soda water, and fresh orange juice, and is a great alternative for those who don't drink.

Ingredients

Ginger Simple Syrup

Cranberry Mocktail

  • ¼ cup tart cranberry juice 2 ounces
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice 1 ounce
  • 2 tablespoons ginger simple syrup to taste
  • handful ice cubes
  • sparkling water

Garnishes

  • handful fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • orange slices

Instructions

  • Heat the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Reduce the heat to a simmer, add the fresh ginger pieces, and simmer for ten minutes while stirring occasionally.
  • Transfer the infused simple syrup with ginger to a blender. Blend until completely smooth then pour the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve, and let it cool to room temperature. Let the syrup chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
  • Mix the tart cranberry juice, orange juice, and ginger simple syrup in the bottom of a lowball or highball glass until well combined.
  • Add ice and fill the glass the rest of the way with sparkling water. Serve with an orange wedge, fresh or frozen cranberries, and a sprig of fresh rosemary.

Notes

Blending helps intensify the ginger flavor.

Make It Your Way: Substitutions & Variations

No organic cane sugar? - use brown sugar or maple syrup instead.
Add-ins - orange zest or orange peel into the ginger syrup, but if using orange peel remove it before blending.
Variations
Cranberry lime mocktail - use fresh lime juice instead of orange juice and garnish with lime slices.
Switch up the simple syrup - such as cinnamon, pear, apple, etc. Get more ideas in my infused simple syrups post.
