Strawberry simple syrup is a quick and easy way to add a fresh, fruity flavor to your favorite drinks and treats. With just 2 simple ingredients, you can whip up a batch quickly. It's perfect for cocktails, mocktails, lemonade, pancakes, and more!
2cupsfresh or frozen strawberrieshulled and roughly chopped if fresh
Instructions
Heat the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Constantly stir until the sugar dissolves, then add the strawberries.
Reduce to medium heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes (10 minutes if using fresh strawberries), stirring occasionally.
Place a fine mesh strainer over a glass jar and pour the strawberry syrup through. Use the back of a spoon to gently press against the berries to help extract all the syrup.
Let the syrup cool to room temperature before storing it in the fridge for at least an hour before using.
