Stuffed dates are a great snack, appetizer, or dessert. Make them savory for the perfect appetizer or sweet for a simple dessert. These easy recipes are all dairy free and gluten free.
Stuff. Fill each date with the ingredients of choice: apple slices | orange segments | halved banana coins and strawberry jam | peanut butter stuffed pretzels | walnuts and pear slices | sundried tomatoes, ricotta, and basil leaves | cream cheese.
Dip or drizzle with chocolate. Dip the sweet dates in melted chocolate - you can do the entire date, half, or a drizzle on top depending on preference.
Garnish. Add ground cinnamon, orange zest, chopped walnuts, flaky sea salt, lemon zest, etc. on top of the dates.
Prosciutto Wrapped Dates
Heat oven. Preheat oven to 375ºF and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Wrap. Wrap each cream cheese stuffed date with a half slice of prosciutto. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet with a little space in between each one.
Drizzle. Drizzle each wrapped date with a light drizzle of hot honey or plain honey.
Bake. Bake for 8-10 minute or until prosciutto is crispy. Finish with flaky sea salt if desired. Enjoy!
