Blackberry Mojito Mocktail

Blackberry mojito mocktail is a refreshing, beautiful drink with a sweet-tart taste. Bursting with juicy blackberries, sprigs of mint, lime juice, and homemade simple syrup, it’s the perfect drink for warm weather celebrations, dry January, or happy hour.

Ingredients
 

  • ¼ cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice ½ ounce
  • 2 tablespoons blackberry simple syrup 1 ounce
  • handful of ice cubes
  • sparkling water

Garnishes

  • fresh mint sprigs
  • lime slices

Instructions

  • Muddle blackberries, mint leaves and lime juice in the bottom of a glass. If you don't have a muddle, use the handle of a wooden spoon.
  • Stir in the blackberry simple syrup.
  • Top it off with sparkling water or club soda, stirring gently to combine.
  • Add a sprig of mint and lime slices if desired.

Make It Your Way: Substitutions & Variations

Don't have enough blackberries for syrup? - make a mint syrup instead.
No plain soda water? - Use flavored sparkling water, like lemon, lime, or berry.
Use different berries - Fresh raspberries or strawberries would also work beautifully in place of blackberries. Use raspberry and strawberry simple syrup or do a mixed berry mocktail.
Make it a cocktail – Add a splash of white rum for a classic mojito twist.
