Chicken Caesar Burgers

Chicken caesar burgers are a quick and incredible variation of the beloved chicken caesar salad. Made with seasoned ground chicken, dairy free caesar dressing and leafy greens on a toasted bun.

Ingredient Notes

  • Ground chicken
  • Panko bread crumbs
  • Dairy free caesar dressing – gets mixed into the ground meat mixture as well as more for serving.
  • Seasoning – Italian seasoning, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  • Leafy greens – either butter lettuce or romaine lettuce.
  • Burger buns

How to Make Spicy Chicken Burger: Step By Step

  1. Make chicken mixture. In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, panko bread crumbs, caesar dressing, and seasonings.
  2. Form patties. Use your hands to form the chicken mixture into patties.
  3. Cook patties. Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a little olive oil. Cook the patties in a single layer until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Serve. Serve on a toasted bun with a smear of caesar dressing and leafy greens. Enjoy!

How can you make this chicken caesar burger recipe using what you already have? Here are some ideas…

  • No ground chicken? – if you have boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs you can make your own by pulsing them in a food processor until you have ground chicken.
  • Make it gluten-free – use gluten free bread crumbs Aleia’s is my favorite brand. and a gluten free bun.
  • Add-ins – red onion, fresh tomato, avocado, pickles, cheese slices, etc.
  • Grilling season? You can also cook these flavorful burgers on the grill or in a grill pan to achieve similar grill marks.
  • Store leftover patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months. Let thaw in the fridge overnight. Reheat in a toaster oven or microwave until warmed through.

Instructions

  • Make chicken mixture. In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, panko bread crumbs, caesar dressing, Italian seasoning, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  • Form patties. Use your hands to form the chicken mixture into 6 patties.
  • Cook patties. Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a little olive oil. Cook the patties in a single layer on each side for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature has reached 165ºF.
  • Assemble. Add the cooked chicken burger on a toasted bun smeared with caesar dressing and topped with lettuce. Enjoy!
