Here’s what you’ll need to make this apple dressing:

  • Apple – I recommend using a sweeter variety such as honey crisp, fuji, gala, ambrosia or golden delicious. I used Fuji.

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Dijon mustard
  • Kosher salt – to taste.

How to Make Apple Vinaigrette: Step By Step

Here are some quick visual instructions. The full instructions and ingredient list will be in the printable recipe card below!

  1. Blend. Add all the dressing ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth and season to taste with kosher salt. If your apple is more tart, add one to two teaspoons of maple syrup or honey.

Helpful Tips

  • Use a blender, not a food processor. You’ll get a much smoother consistency using a high powered blender, plus it also helps emulsify the dressing.
  • Use fresh apple, not apple juice concentrate. The fresh apple takes the flavor to the next level.
  • Separation may occur once refrigerated, so just give it a stir or shake.

Quick Tip: When adding the dressing to a salad, only dress the amount you’re going to eat right away. Especially with delicate salad greens. Otherwise, they’ll get too soggy. If dressing a hearty salad, it can be dressed ahead of time.

Storage

Store the dressing in a mason jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
