How can you make these bang bang chicken kabobs using what you already have? Here are some ideas…
- No chicken breasts? – you can use boneless skinless chicken thighs but you’ll need to cook them a little longer.
- No sriracha? – use another kind of hot sauce.
- No rice vinegar? – sub fresh lime juice.
- Make spicy bang bang chicken skewers – give it more of a spicy kick by adding cayenne pepper to the seasoning blend and/or more sriracha or red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Make bang bang shrimp – use large shrimp instead of chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes or until cooked through.
How to Serve
Bang bang chicken skewers make a delicious appetizer or main course. For a complete meal, I love to serve it with rice and a side salad such as roasted beetroot and feta salad or bok choy salad. Then drizzle the extra sauce over the chicken and rice.

I cut the chicken breast into strips and baked them as the recipe called…I didn’t have skewers …..served it with brown rice and fresh broccoli! DELICIOUS.
Great to know it works without the skewers as well. Thanks for the sweet review! 🙂
