Lime Tahini Dressing

Creamy lime tahini dressing comes together in 5 minutes, has a handful of simple ingredients, adds a tangy, flavorful punch to grain bowls, salads, and slaws, and makes a great dipping sauce!

I first made lime tahini sauce to serve with blistered shishito peppers, which I adapted from my popular creamy lemon miso dressing recipe.

It’s an easy dressing that comes together quickly. You don’t need special equipment like a food processor, immersion blender, or high-powered blender to make it. Just a bowl and a whisk.

This easy recipe is one of my favorite homemade dressings because of its versatility. It has a bright, tangy flavor and creamy texture.

Ingredients

You only need a few basic ingredients for this creamy dressing:

  • Extra virgin olive oil – the salad dressing base.
  • Tahini – a Middle Eastern sesame seed paste made from ground sesame seeds with a slightly nutty flavor. This helps to emulsify the dressing and make it super creamy. A really good tahini is by the brand Krinos. It has the smoothest flavor compared to many other tahini brands I’ve tried.
  • Lime zest and fresh lime juice – add brightness and a lime flavor.
  • Mellow white miso paste – for umami flavor.
  • Rice vinegar – adds a tangy flavor.
  • Honey – to balance the flavors and minimize any bitterness from the tahini and tanginess from the lime juice.
  • Kosher salt – to taste.

How to Make Creamy Tahini Lime Dressing

Step 1. Add all the ingredients to a small bowl and whisk until smooth.

Step 2. Store in an airtight container or mason jar in the fridge for up to 1 week.
